How long does the process of commissioning a portrait take from start to finish?
I reserve a minimum of 14 days to paint portraits for sizes in 8x10 to 11x14. For sizes 16x20 and larger, I reserve a minimum of 30 days.
The process can potentially take less time if you respond quickly to the reviews and approvals. In addition, slow reviews and approvals or changes can add time to the process.
I prefer to be extremely thorough with my paintings as I add much detail especially with acrylics.
Let's discuss your time frame needs and work together in the process to accomplish a high-quality painting in the least amount of time. Time frames and deadlines are addressed in the commission contract.
Shipping time is in addition to painting time and varies depending on what shipping method you select. Time frames are a guideline to help you know what to expect but variables can affect the actual times a portrait takes.
As an average estimate, you can expect to receive your custom portrait between three weeks for smaller works to a month and a half for larger works.
Rush orders will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A 20% rush fee will be added to the invoice.
